The brief for the new clubhouse for Royal Norwich was more than just to demolish the old building and give members a new club house. PJ Spillings were provided with an exciting opportunity that required part demolition of the old clubhouse at royal Norwich Golf club and replacing it with a brand-new extension. Our team were tasked with creating a venue that would appeal to a wider community beyond the game of golf.
Following the design phase, construction works included demolition, groundworks and external works – brickworks, RWG, steelworks, joists and roofing. Internally, we undertook all mechanical and electrical installation, before decoration, tiling and fitting flooring, doors and ironwork.
Elsewhere, we constructed a new greenskeeper facility, a practice range building and the partial conversion of an existing residential bungalow to a starters pavilion. Our team also added a new staff accommodation and a new access road. To finish more of the external works, our team landscaped the area and installed high quality fencing.
Our team at P.J. Spillings delivered a modern design and build of the restaurant and bar area that is inviting, and attracts people wanting to dine out. The clubhouse is now not only enjoyed by golfers, but is a profitable venue for corporate events, weddings and birthdays.
